Firewood Processing Services I Provide.
Austraila has a strong trandition of using firewood to heat their home, water or to cook with. Western Australia has some of the best heating and cooking woods in the world.
Jarrah and Wandoo wood both burn incredibly well, nice and hot and burns for a long time.
Marri and Yarri burn really hot but burn quick and leave a bit more ash in the fire bed than Jarrah.
Western Austrailas climate is changing though and with the introduction of limiting the amount of hardwood harvesting in 2024, hardwood for stove and fireplace use is getting limited each year.
Personally I use a mix of fire wood. I use Marri, Yarri and White Gum to get my house nice and toastie and warm then move to Jarrah to maintain and keep the fire going through the night.
Processing of fallen limbs, trees, branches that fall on within a properties boundary is an easier solution to top up your firewood needs.Â
Before any firewood should be burn't it must meet a few pre requisites:Â
- Dry meaning has not been sitting in rain / wet weather.
- Dry meaning the moisture from the growing stage of the wood <19% is optimal.
- Must never have been treated eg Herbicide or Pesticide.
- Must not be painted.
*As with all my services, I aim to provide weed, pest and fungal free services. Due to the graphical dispercement of the areas I service I require the ability to clean / wash my equipement prior to leaving site. This prevents the spread of any pest or diesease that may be disturbed whilst on your property. This not only protectes your property but the next person I visit. If unable to carry out this important part of my service unfortunatley a $10 washing charge will apply.
